Outreach

Jesus calls us to love our neighbour and make disciples everywhere. Here are a few of the ministries and people we're involved with.

Mission partners

Luke and Naomi Sinclair

With only 0.5% of the population identifying as evangelical Christians, Japan remains the second-largest unreached people group in the world. Having experienced first-hand Japan’s need for Gospel labourers, Luke and Naomi are serving with "Kirisutosha Gakusei Kai" (Christian Student Fellowship) in Tokyo.

We partner with four different organisations that care for those in need; two that focus on our city of Christchurch, and two that focus on international needs.

Drug Arm

Drug Arm is a non-denominational Christian response to both the growing and negative effects of alcohol and drug addiction. Originally established in Australia, Drug-ARM was set up in Christchurch in 1996.

0800 Hungry

A non-denominational, non-profit Christian Charitable Trust established to empower churches and social agencies of all denominations to reach out to those in our community who need a helping hand.

TEAR Fund

TEAR Fund represents the compassion of Jesus. For over 30 years they have worked through child sponsorship, microenterprise, community development, and disaster relief projects throughout the developing world.

Assistance is provided regardless of the religious beliefs of recipients. They partner with local Christian organisations and churches in developing countries that use local staff who work directly with the poorest people, helping them find their own solutions, cutting out the middleman, and reducing costs.

World Vision

World Vision is an international NGO that works to improve the lives of children and families in the developing world through sustainable, community-based initiatives. World Vision New Zealand was established in 1970 and currently supports more than 44 projects in over 25 countries. World Vision works alongside community members, encouraging local ownership of development projects to ensure they continue long after World Vision leaves.

Cornerstone is a church with a vision to see lives transformed through Jesus Christ for the glory of God on our university campuses, in our city, and throughout the broader Christchurch area.
