Fields Church is our newest gathering with a heart to reach the Selwyn district with the life-changing message of Jesus. It was started with the goal of drawing together a diverse community of people from the Selwyn district, including students, families, workers, and anyone who may be new to the neighbourhood. We seek to grow closer to Jesus, to reflect his love, and to connect to those around us in the Rolleston, Lincoln, and Prebbleton townships. Whether you're investigating Christianity or considering joining a church, we would love to meet you.
Children are an important part of our church family; there's a dedicated space for kids of all ages at Fields church. We long to see our children and youth become disciples of Jesus for their whole lives and tailor our programmes to each age group.
When you arrive at Fields Church, Newish Connect is the best place to start. It’s a five-week course designed to welcome you to our church. We look at five different areas important to a healthy church and see what the Bible says about belonging to God’s people. It’s perfect if you have already decided to join us regularly, but equally valuable if you’re still unsure and have questions. From there, we can help you with the next step in church life.
Our Growth Groups are central to the way we share life together; we grow more like Christ, pray and care for one another, rooted in the Word of God.
Groups run during the school terms, with a range of times to suit your schedule.
Our junior and senior youth groups are for teens in school years 7–13. We long to see our young people hungry for the Word of God, engaging with the cultural challenges that confront them through the lens of the Bible, and growing in their desire for God, love for God’s people, and the lost.
Friday afternoons are when we hang out, have fun, hear from God’s Word and chat about it together. It is a great place to find community, invite friends, and hear and understand why we’re all about Jesus! Our youth group is hosted in Upper Riccarton.
mainly music is a fun, interactive music group for young children and their parents/caregivers. In the 30-minute session, children are introduced to music and creativity, developing their motor skills, language and imagination. Morning tea afterward (provided) gives you the chance to meet other parents/caregivers in the area while your littles continue to play and make new friends. mainly music at Fields Church is run by a passionate group of volunteers from our campuses. If you have a child under 5, we'd love to have you!
